Hannity's Newborn Photo Shoot

Well...once again I'm way behind on blogging! Hannity's newborn photo shoot was about a month and a half ago! Life with 2 kiddo's has been busy....taking care of them, keeping up a house, my vinyl business, and hanging out with Paul any break he takes from studying occupy my time! But here are some of the many pictures that were taken!

Welcome Hannity Lynn Lanier!

On Friday June 4, I woke up with some really painful contractions at 5 am! I had a doctor appointment the day before, had my membranes stripped and afterwards I was almost 5 cm dilated....but had zero contractions! Since I didn't have contractions I didn't go to the hospital. When I woke up to contractions, I started timing them and they were about 40 seconds long and only about 2 minutes apart! I told Paul and he just kind of brushed it off, and said we could go to the hospital in a few hours because he wanted to sleep some more....silly boy! Well I went to the bathroom and lost my mucus plug....sorry if that's too much information....and after I said "Paul we are going to the hospital....this is it!" So he got in the shower while I put make up on and curled my hair...I wanted to look good while in labor, and my contractions were getting worse. I then told Paul that we had to go to the hospital now! He said "so I don't have time to shave my face?" I of course said no!!! So we loaded up the car and had my mom come and pick Landon up to take to my friend Kim's house, so she could watch him. We headed to the hospital and arrived there at 6:15 am. When I got there, there was nobody working downstairs, so I had to walk up to labor and delivery, by then my contractions were REALLY painful!!! I got up to labor and delivery. When we walked through the doors, I had another contractions and the nurses shouted out from down the hall "What baby is this for you??" I said "number 2." So they all came running at me and got me into a bed. The head nurse asked if I was going to want an epidural and I of course said yes!!! She then checked me and I was 9cm dilated. She then told me that I couldn't have an epidural because the baby was coming now! I of course cried and panicked! How was I going to do this with no drugs??? They asked who my doctor was and luckily he was already there....so I didn't have to wait to push! I got to the hospital at 6:15 am and Hannity was out at 6:47am...my labor was just under 2 hours...not bad!!! Since there was no time there was only 1 pic taken before, and here it is...I look gross!

We are so glad that this little girl has come in to our family! It definitely has been an adjustment. Landon has been having a hard time, but for the most part things are going well! I have been recovering great, and have been managing to get things done around the house...so I'm happy! I've been missing my sleep though....but it's oh so worth it!

Landon turns 2

It's been since Feb 28 since I last updated...WOW!!!On March 28 we threw Landon a 2nd birthday party! We had it early in the morning and served breakfast! We had a bunch of our friends and Landon's friends there. He had a really good time! There aren't very many pics because I didn't take very many...plus I have a lot of blog catching up to do!

The party was Cars themed, this is the banner that I made.

My mom got Landon a rocking horse because he is OBSESSED with horses!!! He stayed on his horse the whole party pretty much! His friend Boston is in the background!

After his party we headed up to Searchlight for some Tea Party action....we didn't make it in time to see Sarah Palin speak =(. Afterwards we went to a Tea Party in Henderson and got to hear Ann Coulter speak. Here is Landon with his "Don't tread on me flag!" He loved it and carried it around with him!

April 1, was Landon's actual birthday! For his birthday we took him to Build-A-Bear...here he is with my mom after he picked out what he wanted to make!

In the store there was a stroller with a chipmunk, he loved it and was pushing it all around the store while walking his doggie!

Afterwards, we went to Wal Mart and picked up a cake....I didn't feel like making one, plus buttercream frosting sounded so good! We got him a cake and my mom let him pick out a toy.

What we've been up to January and February 2010

I feel like I say this every time...but I got behind again!!! Life has been busy with school, and my vinyl business, and being a mom! Here are some new pics from the past 2 months!

At Christmas time I posted about our amazing stroller/ bike, The Taga...we absolutely are loving it around here! I can't wait for the weather to get nicer so we can go riding all of the time...not to mention it has really helped keep me in shape this pregnancy! I'm 26 weeks today and have only gained 1 pound! Woo Hoo! Here is Landon on a cold day before we went riding to my mom and dad's house.

On New Year's Eve, we had friends over to our house...due to tired kids they stayed till about 10...our kiddo was nowhere near ready for bed, so we let him stay up with us! At midnight we drank sparkling cider out of Mickey Mouse sippy cups...we had gotten the sippy cups and juice for a white elephant gift at a Christmas party we had gone to. We were told the cups and juice were for us on New Years Eve. Now Landon has his Mickey and Goo-Goo sippy cups! He loves em!

The first weekend in January we visited the Las Vegas Zoo...you can walk through the whole think in like an hour, but Landon had a good time!

He love the elephant statue...he rode it a lot!

They had a petting zoo there as well....yeah all the petting zoo consisted of was a bunch of goats, but again Landon loved it!

On that same day we went to Springs Preserved and walked on some of the free trails...and of course took some pics!

We also rode the taga on the trails...

Our son is OBSESSED with horses!!! Here he is watching one of his favorite movies, Spirit...

Here's Landon playing in his room....I love how he is wearing different shoes, and on the wrong feet! The white one's won't even fit him for another year or so, but he loves to wear them around the house.

He likes climbing in boxes...

He started a gymnastics class...this is him on his first day...all he would go on was the slide...for 30 minutes! He hated me making him wait in line for his turn too!

I was making hair bows one night and Landon emptied one of my ribbon jars and was putting them around his neck as if they were necklaces....as he put on each color he would say "Oh cute..." We love our silly boy!

Paul started to get into Mountain biking....here is Landon wanting to ride daddy's new bike!

The first Saturday in Feb, we did a 5k at Town Square Mall...being 5 months pregnant at the time...I wasn't going to run...so I rode my Taga...and Paul ran along side me! Landon had a blast! There were around 3,000 people there!!! It was crazy!!!

...And after...we got poured on the whole time!!! I was bummed, the guy who took the pic didn't bother to get Landon in it...how rude!!!

After the 5k, we went to Wal Mart to get some groceries....we came out with groceries, and a fish tank and fish...at first I wasn't huge on the idea...but the second I saw how excited it made Landon, I became excited too!

Here's Landon playing with a ball at a birthday party...it was at a park, I spent most of the 2 hours trying to keep him away from the baseball game...he wanted to play! Maybe baseball is in his future.

Paul had President's Day off of school, so he was able to attend Landon's gymnastics class while I took pictures! This is them during stretch time!

Not quite sure what this is called, but he thinks it's a horsie! Silly boy!

Of course he rode the slide lots too!

There's really not a whole lot going on with us! Paul is getting closer to finishing his 2nd year of Medical School...I just hit week 26 of the pregnancy today! My baby shower was yesterday...hopefully I'll get pics up soon! I have also been doing good of updating the craft blog...check it out here! Hope all is well with everyone else!

It's a...

Today I had my first and only ultrasound for this pregnancy and found out that we are having a little GIRL!!! My due date was changed from June 6 to June 14...so I guess we will have to wait a little bit longer for this sweet little girl to arrive. I was a little sad...Paul couldn't come to the ultrasound to share this special moment with me...he had a mandatory lab at school...boo...but Landon, my mom, brother, and his girlfriend Katelyn were there. I should have rescheduled for a day he could come, but we really didn't want to wait any longer to find out that our child was healthy and what we were having! Paul and I are pretty sure that her name is going to be HANNITY LYNN LANIER. Yes...if you were wondering, we got the idea from Sean Hannity's last name. Paul suggested it one night as a girl or boys name, and I really liked it for a little girl. Her middle name Lynn, is after my mom, it's her middle name. She was moving around like crazy during the ultrasound today! She is an active little girl! Here she is giving us a high five! How cute! This was every ones favorite picture of her, so they got copies from the ultrasound tech! This pic also has a really good profile of her face too!

Here is proof that she is a she! I still can't believe we are going to have a little girl!!! I am soooo EXCITED!!! Landon is going to be the best big brother! He is such a sweet little boy, especially around baby girls...he hugs, pets, and kisses them! I hope the sweetness continues, and that he and his little sister are the best of friends!

I of course had do do a little shopping for her...right after the appointment! I found these cute dresses at Ross and Marshall's...

and these darling outfit's at Janie and Jack...these were Paul's favorites! One he saw the little girl clothes he started to get really excited to have a DAUGHTER!

We can't wait for our little HANNITY to get here. We are so glad that everything looks very good and healthy with her and with this pregnancy =)

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Hey everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We sure did! We stayed here in Vegas for Christmas this year. We spent the early morning at our house and the latter half of the morning till the evening at my parents house. This Christmas was a little hard on us all. My dear sweet Grandma passed away in May, and my Dad is serving in Iraq, so Christmas was spent without them. Luckily though, the rest of us could be together for the Holidays. We are so grateful for skype! On Christmas day, we skyped my dad in Iraq, and were able to talk to him while we opened gifts, and he was able to be a part of that. Gotta love technology!

This is a picture of Landon on Christmas Eve. I had gone to a friends house to deliver some gifts, and Paul was watching Landon...he didn't get a nap when he should of, so he just randomly passed out on the couch! This is a RARE occasion!

When Landon woke up we opened a few gifts. Our Christmas Eve tradition is...we get Christmas pj's. We each opened up our pj's, along with the movie Polar Express....went upstairs, and watched the movie...we even let Landon sleep with us. We all fell asleep about an hour into the movie! Haha! Here's Paul and Landon in their jammies!

In the middle of the night, Paul went down stairs and played Santa. He set out all of the gifts that weren't getting wrapped, and filled his stocking. This is Landon Christmas morning with his new bike! he was excited about it, but a little frustrated because his feet didn't reach the pedals!

Landon is really into horses right now...so we had to get him the horsie! He likes to sleep with it!

Landon always pulls out my vacuum to push around, so I thought it was time I got him his own. I saw this Dyson children's vacuum online and it was a must buy...it even sucks up small crumbs! Now he can help me clean up his messes!

Landon also really likes elephants...well he likes all animals pretty much! Paul's dad got him this elephant! He likes to ride it!

A new Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper clutch bag for me! Don't I look lovely? It was 7 am! Early for me!

I contacted a seller on Etsy and had them make this shirt for Paul! Almost there! 2.5 more years!!!!

After we opened presents at our house, we went over to my parents house. I was most excited to head over there because there was a mystery gift that everyone was keeping a secret! Even my mom...she doesn't keep secrets! I wouldn't have even known about this mystery gift if it weren't for the cop at the Hoover Dam. Paul and I went to AZ the weekend before Christmas. We drove the truck there...which was weird because we normally take the pathfinder. I was a little suspicious of something just because of that! On our way home from AZ, we stopped at the checkpoint at the Hoover Dam. I was driving at the time, so Paul could study. The cop asked me "what's in the boxes?" To my knowledge there was a box of popcorn, a bike, and a suitcase in the back of the truck. I replied "popcorn!" He looked at me and said "really...what's in the boxes?" Paul looked at him and said "shoot! It's her Christmas present....I made it all this way without her finding out about it...can I get out of the car and tell you?" So Paul got out of the car and told him! I'm suspicious as ever at this point...and there was still 4 days till Christmas!!!! We get to my parents house and Paul told me to go straight inside so he could unload it. My brother and him unloaded it and hid it. Paul went to my parents a few times during the week to set it up. I was thinking it was a rocking chair because the one I wanted was at a store in AZ...boy was I wrong! Christmas day finally came and the mystery gift was revealed.....

Waiting for me at my parents house was a Taga!!! Paul and I found these online 2 months ago and fell in love with the product. It's a bike that converts into a stroller! You can fit one or 2 kiddos on it! We got 2 seats since we will be having a new little baby soon =) This was the ultimate Christmas gift! I would play the video that has my reaction...but I need to get a new cable to connect the video recorder up to my computer. You can get more product information here. I was so surprised!!! This bike is from the Netherlands...the reason why we brought it home from AZ was because Paul's sister works for a shipping company, and was able to get us a deal on shipping...thank goodness...it wasn't cheap!

There were lots of gifts given between our house and my moms...but it would be too many to post....Landon sure had a good Christmas! He loves all of his new toys!!! After we opened gifts at my moms house, we took the taga out for a ride!!!! This thing is so awesome! It rides so smoothly, and in 30 seconds it can be converted from this to

What we've been up to this month!

December has been really busy! The first week in December Paul surprised me and brought home a Christmas tree! He ditched the rest of his classes, stayed home and we decorated for Christmas! Here is our tree!

On the back of our chairs in the dining room, I have wreaths with ribbon and ornaments! I must say...Love them!

This is the first year we've lived somewhere that has a good spot for stockings! The only bad part....I have fake popcorn, berries, and candy canes on the garland....Landon tries to eat them when he's hanging out on the stairs! Silly boy!

The first weekend in December, we took Landon to St Judes Children's ranch. There were all kinds of Christmas festivities and the money went to the organization. They had a Santa Claus there....it didn't go well!

Landon has an OBSESSION with horses! It's kind of hard to see in this picture, but here is Landon riding a little horse....he will sit on a horse and try to ride it...no matter what the size of it!

Landon also started wearing Daddy's stethoscope as a new accessory! Does this mean he wants to follow in Daddy's footsteps? We got him a Dr set for Christmas...we are excited to see his reaction when he gets his very own stethoscope to wear!

Landon got a hair cut from his Aunt Havy this month...at first his hair was just going to get a trim...well he moved around way to much and it turned into a BAD bowl cut! So....all of the hair came off =( It saddened me. And apparently it saddened him!

My mom and i took Landon to a little carnival on Water Street...here is Landon happy as can be on a horse!

There was a petting zoo as well...they had a 20 inch tall pony! Landon followed it around everywhere!

This month we also went to a super fun Christmas party! There were babysitters upstairs watching the kiddos, so we didn't have to! They had all kinds of crafts and goodies for the kids! Landon made a gingerbread house...with lots of assistance I'm sure....

The same night of the Christmas party, which was a week ago from today, we left and went to Arizona to visit Paul's family. We got into town at 5:30 am! Crazy! We did lots of fun things on our trip there. We took Landon to Cabella's to look at animals...he loved it...he loves animals!

We also went to a house that had a petting Zoo in their back yard! This is Landon when we first got there with the ducks!

Here's Landon and me with the horses! There were so many animals there....ponies, little donkey's, ducks, goats, pigs, lambs, sheep. Paul got to milk a goat...and I got to bottle feed a lamb! It was so cute watching the little lamb drink from a bottle!

We also went to the Mesa Temple to see the Christmas lights! Right when we drove up to the Temple, Landon said "Temple" it was so precious...usually when he sees a temple, he says "Jesus," but this time he said "Temple."

After the Temple, Paul let Landon sit in the drivers seat of his truck...this excites Landon!

We did Christmas early with Paul's mom, sister and her boyfriend. Here is Landon opening some of his gifts! He got some cute cars pillow books! He loves these! he also got some Lego's which he really loves!

Aunt Havy also got him this really cute beanie at Janie and Jack...there's also a matching shirt!

Paul's mom got Landon this igloo looking tent and train set! We set up his tent and new toys and he had fun for hours!

The day after we got home from AZ, Paul, Landon, my brother, my Mom, and Me went to Build-A-Bear. My mom wanted to take Landon there for his final Christmas gift...we thought it would be more fun if he got to pick out his animal himself. I really wanted him to pick the dog...there were so many cute and fun accessories for the dog...but the second Landon saw the horse...the dog didn't matter! I spent many minutes trying to convince him to get the dog! It didn't work! here's my brother Ross and Landon with his horse before getting it stuffed!

...And of course he had to take a ride on the horse...the whole store was watching him ride his horse! It was cute!

Us getting the horse named...his name is Horsie...Landon isn't really at the age yet where he names things...we figured Horsie is what he'd be calling it, so Horsie it is!

What we were up to in November

November was a busy and fun month for us! We had family in town, went to the Air Show, Saw the long awaited movie...New Moon, a bachlorette party, booming sales on my etsy site, Thanksgiving, and my best friend got married! Here are just a few of the many pics I took of our different events in November.

Here's us at the Air Show...it was so cold and windy!!! Paul dressed Landon that day...and he put him in pants that were a little to small on him! Haha!

Here's us at New Moon! I'm so lucky...I got my hubby to go with me! He actually liked it! I thought it was a great movie...plus I read all of the twilight books before New Moon came out! This is huge for me because I hate reading, and I found myself really addicted to the Twilight books! This pic is a little fuzzy, there wasn't the best lighting, and we took it in my phone! The highlight of the movie....Jacob took his shirt off and Paul said really loud over the screaming ladies "Team Jacob." Haha! I've got my Team Edward gear on!

The night after seeing New moon was my best friends bachlorette party! It was lots of fun hanging out with the girl. It was at Toby Keith's bar and grill...we ate food and danced...well I tried to dance..I could do one of the line dances at least!

We spent Thanksgiving day relaxing at my mom's and of course eating yummy food! This is the only pic I took of the 3 of us at her house.

The day after Thanksgiving, I helped Tiffany...my bestie, and her family decorate for her wedding. It took a long time but turned out great! Then on Saturday was the wedding! Here is Tiffany and johnny coming out of the Temple as Newly Weds!

So....here's what we did in a nutshell in November!

Halloween Festivities and Halloween

Our Halloween was really fun this year! The week of Halloween Paul had exams so he spent that time locked in our room studying! A week before Halloween I dressed Landon up in his Pirate costume and took him to the pumpkin patch with my mom, My goal was to get some really good Halloween pics of him, but I could not get him to stay still!

Here is Landon in his costume! He absolutely hated the eye patch and took it off immediately, along with the clip on pirate earring! Haha! So this isn't the greatest pic, but it has most of the pirate effect I was going for!

There was a petting Zoo at the pumpkin patch, so we went into that. He had so much fun and he knows the sounds that all of the animals make so he kept saying, "baa, duck, duck, cocka, cocka, bunny, baa, duck." It was so cute! Next to the petting Zoo were ponies, so of course we had to let him ride the pony!

The next day was Saturday, the week before Halloween, and a few days away from Paul's big exams. I got him to take a few hours off so we could go to a Halloween party! Our friends Kyle and Janelle throw one every year, and every year we couldn't go because of exams or something! So we finally went this year! We had to throw together last minute costumes, as it was a costume party...so Paul was a Dr, and I was a nurse! Haha, how original, seeing as how Paul will be called Dr. in 2.5 years! We had a great time and it was good to see friends from our old ward!

The night before Halloween, we went back to the pumpkin patch, and Paul was with us since exams were over! Here's Landon at the petting zoo, this time he was really fond of the bunnies...he even pet them!

After the petting Zoo, Landon rode the pony again, and of course loved it! He kept saying, "horse, horse," the whole time he was on it! Here's a family pic! I look kinda gross so I honestly don't know why I posted this pic!

The next morning, Halloween, we started off by going to the park. Paul had a flag football game. Landon of course didn't want to sit still and watch, so we went on the playground. After the game we came home, got lunch and put Landon down for a nap.

When he woke up we went here....

Our friend told us it was decorated for Halloween, and Paul has never been to the shark reef and we knew Landon would love it, so we got him dressed up and took him. This is our family pic before we went in.

Here's us in front of fish, except it was dark, and the flash on the glass....makes for not being able to see the fish! Landon really enjoyed watching all of the fish swimming around.

After shark reef, we came home, ate dinner then went to my mom's house so we could go trick or treating! Landon was so cute trick or treating. We would pick him up so he could ring the door bell, then we'd put him on the ground, and when someone would answer and open the door, Landon would run right into their house! It was so funny! He had a lot of fun though!

After trick or treating, we met up with our friends Kim and Nate, and went to Kim's parent's wards trunk or treat. After that we went to Kim's parents house for the remainder of the Halloween party that her mom threw. Her house was decorated so cute, we played a few games, roasted marshmallows, and ate good food! Landon jumped around on the trampoline at their house and had a blast...he kept saying, "jump, jump," and would signal Ireland, Kim and Nate's little girl to come jump with him! I wish I got pics or video of that because it was really cute! When the party was over we went and did some grocery shopping before it was Sunday. we were out in the parking lot talking with our friends, when suddenly, Nate just drove off. We turned and looked, and saw a teenager run out of the grocery store with a case of beer. So we got in our car, and between Kim and Nate, and Us, we had him caught! The kid got in dropped off the beer and got into a car. We followed the car to where they were going to retrieve the beer, and Paul grabbed it and got their license plate #, and the cops were called and the beer was returned. That's how our Halloween night ended! The End!

Paul's 10 Year Reunion

The first weekend of October we headed up to Arizona for Paul's 10 year reunion! We arrived late Thursday night. On Friday, I hung out with Paul's mom and I made my usual stops at stores we don't have here in Vegas, stores such as Ikea and Hobby Lobby...I LOVE Hobby Lobby! At night time my brother came into town and stayed with us! It was great to have been able to see him! Landon loves his "guncle." The next morning we watched conference, then went out to lunch at Mango's, my favorite Mexican Restaurant in AZ! There, we met my brothers girlfriend, Katelyn. She's really nice! We like her! After all of the conference sessions we went to Paul's 10 year reunion! It was held at Dave and Busters in Tempe AZ. Here's a picture of us when we arrived!

We had a great time at the reunion. Afterwards, we pretty much went back to Paul's mom's house and went to bed! We were so tired! The next morning we watched the Sunday morning session of conference then we headed home! We had to get back early because Paul needed to study for a test! Our Arizona trip was fun! It's probably our last trip for a while! School is getting harder for Paul and he needs as much study time as he can get! We can't wait for him to be done with school!!!

Expecting baby #2!!!

We couldn't be happier! I found out just over 2 weeks ago that baby number 2 will be joining our family on or around June 6! I have already had a dr's appt to confirm everything and to test all of my hcg levels and progesterone levels, and everything is rising! I am soooooo excited! I have been really behind in the blogging world! I have tons of updating, but it'll have to wait! Life is really busy right now! One day when it slows down (yeah right haha!) I will get caught up! For now I just thought I'd share the news!

Our little Boy is in Nursery!

About 3 Sundays ago, our little boy went to Nursery for the first time! He absolutely loves it, in fact he cries when it's time to leave. He's not quite 18 months yet, but the nursery workers in our ward let us put him in since he's so good. Here's a picture of him after church on his first day of nursery. He was worn out!

Later that evening he started running a fever...102.8 to be exact, we almost had to take him to the ER, poor little guy. We gave him some tylenol, along with a little bit of OJ, he loved drinking from a big kid cup...that rarely happens though because he spills all over!

He loves to wear shoes! This is him in Paul's flip flops! Landon tears up all of the shoes everyday in our closet.

Last Sunday we had the Shaffers over for dinner. Our table only seats 4, so we put Landon and Ireland at the kiddie table. It was their first date =) They had a good time laughing at each other...so precious!

Landon is absolutely obsessed with technology, or should I say our iphones. Here he is talking to Paul's mom, he just kept saying "yeah, yeah" over and over again. We got a good chuckle out of him!

Here he is again. We recently moved into a new place! We just love it, except for the fact we get bad phone service. That's why Landon is sitting on the steps. We get service on the steps! I will soon post pics of the new place=)

Shoe Story

This little boy is OBSESSED with shoes! He always has to have them on no matter what! It's pretty cute! The other day I went to Ross because he was in need of new shoes. I grabbed some cute Polo slip ons for him, and some colorful high top Converse! They were super cute and a good price! I gave them to Landon to hold while I was shopping. I went to grab them from him, so they could be rung up...he started screaming, loudly! The girl rang them up really fast and gave them back to me to give to Landon. We then walkd to Target, Landon still had the shoes and was as happy as could be. Of course I had to take a picture of him! He was playing with the shoes by putting them on the snack tray on the stroller, and he was hugging them and putting them on his hands, and ears as if they were phones! He held the Polo ones the whole 30 minutes we were there...he dropped the converse about 15 minutes in to the trip, so I was able to take those from him. He held the Polo ones for the ride from Target to my parents hose, carried them in the house, and finally set them down so he could play with the doggies! Silly boy! I just thought I'd share that cute little story, plus I wanted to get it typed somewhere so I don't forget this cute little moment!

California for our four year anniversary

This past weekend we went to California for our four year anniversary. Our anniversary was on August 20, but we had a lot going on with Paul's school schedule and moving, that we waited to celebrate last weekend! We got a room at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Beach! The best part is...the room was free! Paul's boss from his job he just got done working paid for it! The beach was right behind the hotel...we had a balcony that looked out to the pool, it was beautiful! Here are pictures from our trip!

After the beach we got cleaned up, then headed out to Lake Elsinore to go to the Pottery Barn outlet...surprisingly I left empty handed, this has never happened before! Then we went to the Children's Place outlet...I got Landon 4 Polo's and a pair of jeans for $15! Then we went to Old Navy, and everything was 40% off...can't beat that! So, we shopped! Those are the only good stores there, (besides Gap) so it was a short trip! We then headed to Fashion Is;and at Newport Beach. We ate dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Afterwards we wanted to take Landon on the carasol but it was closed, along with every other store! So we walked around. Here's Landon and Paul at the fountain...Landon loved it!

After dinner we headed back to the hotel, and on our way back, we stopped at Red Mango and had some dessert. When we got back to the hotel, we went swimming. We were the only ones in the pool. The water was warm...Landon loved it! He was so cute in the pool, I'm so mad at myself for not bringing my camera to the pool! After the pool, we got Landon ready for bed, and I finally got Paul to watch 17 Again with me...the funniest line is in that movie, "I think our hands just made a baby." Haha! We had check out at 12, here's us before check out.

We then headed back to Newport. We walked around the Newport Beach temple before going to church. I told Landon to say "cheese" and this is what he did! He is so funny!

After the temple, we went to church at 1pm...not thinking about what wards usually start at 1pm. We were sitting for a while before I noticed, there were no kids there, and there was older people, and people who looked slightly older than us...it was a singles ward! Haha! Landon was so noisy, we left right after the sacrament. We then went to California Pizza Kitchen at Fashion Island for lunch. Everything was open so we took Landon to the Toy Boat, a cute toy shop! Here's him playing with a Thomas the Train table set. His shirt is sooo dirty! I forgot to pack a bib! Oops!

We then took him to the pet store so he could see the dogs! He LOVES doggies! Then he went on the carasoul! He had a lot of fun on it! Here he is pointing at all of the other carasoul animals.

I feel like we have been so busy lately, hence why this blog has not been updated in so long! Here are some pictures of everything we've had going on lately!

On July 3, Landon had his 15 month appointment! He was in the 10-25% for everything except for his head...his head was in the 25-50%. He did so good with his shot. He wined for a quick second. We started clapping for him after his shot, and he clapped too!

Our Fourth of July was fun! We did a lot, but at the same time, it was really relaxing. We started the morning off by going to our ward breakfast.

After the breakfast, we headed to a parade in Boulder City, but we got there just as it ended, so we had our own water fight in the street. We came home and watched a movie and played croquet. Afterwards, we had a BBQ, then headed to downtown Henderson to watch the fireworks. We were with my mom and brother, our friend Adam, and our friends Kim and Nate, their 2 little girls, and Kim's family. This is a picture of Landon and Eden...how precious!

On July 6, Nate threw Kim a surprise birthday party, so we went to that! It was at the coolest house! If you lived there, you'd never be bored! This is a picture of Paul and Landon crawling their way to a secret hiding spot! I was down below taking the pics.

The weekend of July 17, we headed to Arizona for a few days to visit Paul's family. Our first day there, Paul's mom took us to the lake. We had bought Landon a life jacket and he hated it! It was a little bit too big, luckily Paul's mom had a smaller one! He still hated it though! The lake was fun! We got tan, Paul wakeboarded, I tried wakeboarding, but I couldn't get up! Haha!

While we were in AZ, we also decided to give Landon a little hair cut! It was his first hair cut, given by his Aunt Havy. Not much got cut off...I just love his little curls!

On July 20, (we were still in AZ) we had lots of fun! Our day started off by going to see Hannah Montana The Movie, at the dollar theatre...my poor hubby, I made him go, and I had already seen it before! After the movie, we went to the Mesa Temple and the visitor's center there. This is a picture of Landon listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He liked the headphones!

Then my hubby surprised me with American Idol tickets!!! It was a lot of fun! I felt bad for Kris Allen though, the way the concert was done, it seemed more like Adam won and not him...poor guy! Danny was my favorite though!

Paul is now back in school. He's in his second year at Touro University. We've got a long road ahead of us, but we are excited for it! As for me, I've been a crafting machine! I'm always working on something new! Landon is getting so big and so smart! He can point to his belly button and says "booy booy" and his nose and says "nose". Landon is also now saying; ball, doggie, book, balloon, yellow, blue, juice, shoes, "Chesus" which is Jesus, daddy, mommy, hi, bye, night night, no no, eye, bubble, and eat! He tells me when he want to eat, it's so cute! He calls his binky a mi mi! He's obsessed with shoes! He's pulled out lots of our shoes and put them on, including my heels. Silly boy! We love him so much and the joy that he brings to us! We really are blessed=)

On Wednesday, June 17, we met up with some people from our ward and went to a little waterpark in Boulder City. This is one of the few pictures I got of Landon there, he was kind of scared of the water shooting up out of the ground, this is him looking at the water. He warmed up to the water by the time it was time to go!

Camping

On June 8, (wow am I behind!!!) Landon and I, met up with Paul at work for a quick overnight camping trip! We also rode up with Paul's co-workers wife and 2 kids. This was a very interesting camping trip! Well it had an interesting start at least! I was driving down the road and apparently made a wrong turn to our destination! This wrong turn added another 2.5 hours to the drive, scratches on my nice car, and my car got stuck in sand!!! Aah! There was no cell phone service...so I couldn't call for help, and I had no idea I was going the wrong way! I had an empty Wendy's cup in the car, so we used that to help digging out sand from around the tire! After a while of digging and trying to drive my way out...I realized I wasn't in four wheel drive! I put the car in 4 wheel drive and we made it out! Thank goodness! Eventually We saw a golf course, so we pulled over, tried to reach our husbands and couldn't. I eventually reached a friend who informed me I made a wrong turn...the worst part is I made this same wrong turn twice because I just thought I missed the turn off to the guys camp spot! I eventually got on the right path and we were united with our husbands! What a relief that was! When we got there we made hot dogs over the camp fire and smore's for dessert! We also played some card games, and I got more and more used to using the bathroom in the wilderness! Haha! Landon loved camping! He loved being outside! The next morning, we played card games, and ate cereal for breakfast. Afterwards, we packed up and left. It was that short of a trip! We had a lot of fun, and got to make some new friends=)

Michigan Trip

On May 14, 2009 my dear sweet grandmother passed away. On May 28, our family flew up to Michigan for my grandmother's funeral, which was held on May 31. The room where the service was held was filled with all of my grandma's family and close friends whom she loved so much. Stories were told of my grandma, and we were all reminded of the good times we shared with her. She is greatly missed by us all. I find so much comfort in knowing that one day, we will meet again.

We took a walk one day to the park in my grandparents neighborhood. Here is Landon and me on the merry go round! He had a lot of fun! I'm grateful he didn't barf! Haha!

On Monday, June 1, we celebrated my 24th birthday! There really isn't much to do where my grandparents live...and sadly it wasn't boating weather! We went to Big Boy's for lunch, and for dinner we ordered a pizza. I was sick on my birthday, and looked really gross, so I decided not to post that picture! The next day we went golfing! It was my first time ever golfing! I LOVED it! I did really bad though...110 points and we only did 9 holes! Haha! Here are a couple of pictures of Paul and me while golfing!

Utah Trip

On May 22, Landon and I headed up to Utah with my friend Tiffany and her fiance Johnny. The next day, Tiffany and /i did some shopping at Tai Pan and Down East Outfitters! I love those stores! Then we went to my friend Evelyn's wedding reception. Evelyn and I worked together at the call center when I lived in Provo. Here's me and Landon with cute little Evelun. She was such a beautiful bride.

On our last day in Utah... I went into the basement, where Tiffany and I were staying. I said to her "the plaid on your dress looks a lot like the plaid on my shorts." She looked at it closely and said, "It is the same plaid as my dress." Of course we had to take a picture! The funny thing is I got my shorts at JCrew and she got her dress at CVS pharmacy. We thought that was funny too! That just made me learn that JCrew is way too overpriced...our plaids were the exact same colors and quality! This also goes to show, best friends think alike!

NRA Gun Convention

On June 14, we headed down to Arizona for the weekend to go to a NRA Gun Convention and Banquet dinner. At the convention, we heard many speakers, John McCain was one of them. Kim and I lived in Vegas...they came and visited us on weekends, and we would visit them. Long story short, Kim and Nate got married, then Paul and I got married. I know a lot of you have seen pics of all of us on my blog before, but I thought I'd share the story of how we all met. =)

This is my friend Courtney and her husband Brian, along with her sister Lindsay, and her mom Gay, and baby Kai. Courtney is now serving in Iraq for 6 months in the Air Force. Thank you so much to everyone who came and for all of the gifts!

A childhood toy

This is Landon sitting in a little wagon. It was mine as a little girl! I pulled it out of my parents garage so Landon could push it around with his toys in it, but apparently he want to be the one getting pushed around in it! I plan on refinishing this wagon as a project! I'm excited!

Disney Day Trip

On Saturday, April 18, we woke up around 4:30am, and by 6:30 am, we were on our way to the happiest place on earth! We arrived at Disney around 11:30 am. We started our day off in Disney California!

There was a HSM 3 show going on, so of course we had to stop and watch!

After HSM 3, we saw there was a Playhouse Disney theatre, so we decided to do that! Landon had a really hard time sitting still! He was getting fussy because all he wanted to do was move around, and he couldn't! Every now and then, during the show, things would fall from the sky, like bubbles, or leaves, or confetti, and he really liked that! Once things were done falling from the sky, he was angry again that we wouldn't let him move around. Poor guy.

We walked out of the show and it was so sunny out, so I put his hat on him...that stayed on for 2 seconds!

We rode a few rides, the got some lunch! Here's a picture of Landon sharing fries with daddy! He was laughing and having a good ole' time.

After lunch, we went to the Haunted Mansion! Here's Landon and Daddy in line while waiting for the ride!

We saw Aladdin, so we had to get a picture with him. He was the only character we saw that day:(

This was the only picture taken of the 3 of us...my arm looks big and Landon is asleep...Lovely! I actually had never been on the Peter Pan ride before, it was pretty cool, Landon slept through the whole ride, which is kind of a bummer, he would have loved it!

The last and most fun ride we did that day, was the Buzz Light Year one. It was the most fun for Paul and I because Landon was having the time of his life...it was so adorable! Paul and I were shooting targets, while Landon was steering, and screaming...screams of joy! I was winning until I stopped shooting targets just long enough to get a shot of Landon having fun! Oh well! It was worth it!

After our day at Disneyland was over we went to Cheesecake Factory and enjoyed a yummy dinner...as always when we go there! Then, around 9pm, we left and headed home! Doing a quick day trip to Disney was very exhausting, but it was so much fun! It was nice to do something together on a day off of work!

Easter Sunday

On Sunday, April 12 it was Easter! We woke up and went to church at 9am. It was just my Mom, Landon and Me because Paul was working that week, and my dad is overseas. Before we did any Easter stuff, I had to take a few pictures of Landon in his cute Easter outfit! Only 1 really turned out! I couldn't get him to sit still or keep his hat on! Wasn't he cute?!

After we took pictures, my mom watched him inside while I set out just a few eggs and his Easter basket in the yard. FYI...his Easter basket was supposed to be super cute...but it wasn't :( as cute as I had hoped it would be! I ordered a really cute blue, green and white plaid liner from pottery barn kids that was going to have his name on it! Well....I got an email saying it was on backorder, then a few days later saying it was sold out! So next year, I need to order the liner right when they come out! There's all kinds of fun random stuff in there!

My mom also got him the Easter Bunny in the picture below. It sings and dances. At first when we played it for him, he was scared of it, but once he saw us singing and dancing with it...he was laughing!

...then he discovered 2 cars in in Easter basket! He held on to those cars for the next 2 hours...those cars went with him in his wagon while we went on a little Easter walk. He also brought his dancing bunny! Look how happy those cars made him! Too cute!

For Easter dinner, we had a Ham and a yummy broccoli dish. We didn't make much food since the only guy eating with us was Landon...and he doesn't eat much! After dinner we made some yummy chocolate oreo milkshakes! Following the milkshakes, I let Landon have a marshmellow peep. In the picture it looks like he enjoyed it, but he only enjoyed touching it! He didn't care for the taste, which is a good thing!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday April 11, I loaded up the wagon and we walked to a nearby park, where our ward was having an Easter Egg Hunt! Landon, of course loved the ride there, he's always happy in the wagon! When we arrived to the park, breakfast was served by members of the ward who volunteered to cook. There was eggs and pancakes! Yummy! After breakfast, the missionaries told the story of Easter. Following the story was the egg hunt! Landon had just learned to walk the week before...so all the other kids were much faster than him! He did however manage to get two eggs, and some miscellaneous candy that was all over the ground. He had a fun time playing with his plastic eggs. Who would have thought that something as simple as a plastic egg would make a kid so happy!?

...continues his adorable habbit of carrying one item in each hand! The items always have to be similar, for example, 2 cars, or 2 balls, or 2 crackers, or 2 blocks! It's so funny!

...walked exactly one week after turning one!

My little boy is growing up so fast! It's so fun watching him grow and learn new things, but sometimes I wish that I could freeze time, and just enjoy the fun moments for a lot longer!

Finally...Landon's 1st Birthday!

Finally here is the entry for Landon's first birthday!

I watch two little girls at their house during the week. The day started off by Paul, Landon and Me going over to the house to watch the girls. We had some breakfast, then Paul took Landon to his one year check up! They were out of one of the shots, so Landon got lucky, and we decided not to give him any of the shots, and to do them once they received what they needed. So it was a happy doctors visit for him.

After Paul and Landon got back to the house, Landon and the little girls decorated and ate cupcakes! He didn't really do much decorating...just eating!

Then the little girls gave them a "Cookie Jar" toy for his birthday gift. I know it doesn't look like it in this picture, but he had a lot of fun playing with it! He was laughing at it for like 5 minutes straight...no joke!

After the kids played for a little bit, we took them to the park, but before we went there, we stopped and got happy meals for the little ones. Our plan was to have a "picnic" at the park. We showed up and it was so windy! After 10 minutes of attempting to hold all of the food bags and drinks down to keep from blowing away, we gave up! So we put the rest of the food in the car and saved it for later. We let the kids play for about 30 minutes. They had lots of fun! You can tell by this picture of Landon how windy it was! Check out his hair!

His favorite thing to do at the park is to swing on the swings!

When we got home from the park, the kids finished their lunches and took a nap! After nap time, we dropped the little girls off at their older sister's softball game. On the way there, Landon started screaming, and of course the girls started doing it too! It got LOUD! They screamed for about 5 minutes! It was a moment where I just had to laugh and take a picture. This picture captures perfectly how loud it was! I love it!

Once we dropped the girls off, we went to my parents house and had dinner. I wanted to make a "kiddie" dish, so I decided to go with Mac & Cheese, but homemade! It was so good and Landon loved it! After dinner he opened his present form my parents! Grandma and Grandpa got him a wagon for his birthday! He started pushing it around the house before it was even assembled! Here's him helping Daddy put it together.

We went for a family walk (my Mom and her 3 dogs, Paul, Landon and Me), and Landon was in the new wagon, loving every minute of it! During the walk, we tried to put the dogs in there, and it made him even more happy, but the dogs didn't like it, so they jumped out! Poor Landon, he loves the dogs!

When we got home from the walk, Landon received all of his presents from Mommy and Daddy! I wanted to wrap them, but I didn't even bother! He doesn't quite get how to unwrap a gift yet. The first thing we gave him were some books! He loves books! He especially liked this "Where is Baby's Birthday Cake" peek-a-boo book. He gets so happy when he hears the words peek-a-boo...his facial expression is too cute!

Then he got an Activity Cube. Here is Landon playing with his cube! He just loves all of the different things to do on it! He also loves to push it around the house! He is a strong little boy!

Then we gave him a remote control car! This is him playing with his car...Parents (as in Parents magazine) has a line of toys, and this is a remote control car made for little one, 12 months and up! He just loves it! It's so cute to see how excited Landon gets over cars! I love it! He's a cute boy!

Landon's 1st Birthday Party!

On Saturday, March 28, we had Landon's 1st Birthday Party! It was from 11am to 1pm at Mission Hills Park. We barbecued turkey dogs and brats for lunch, and served chips, dip and fruit as a side. We thought it would be fun to get juice boxes since there were going to be quite a few little kids, so we had those as well. For dessert, we did cupcakes...decorate your own. Since it was at the park, all of the kids were able to play and have a good time, while the adults were able to hang out and talk. Here are some pictures from the party.

Our Little Boy is One!

Today is Landon's 1st Birthday! Wow time went by fast! On April 1st, 2008 Landon was welcomed into our family weighing in at 6lbs 11oz and was 18.5 long. Today, April 1, 2009, Landon is weighing in at 20lbs 8oz and is 30 inches long. In this past year, he has grown in so many ways, besides his weight and height. He went from being a little newborn to a toddler. He went from only drinking milk to eating hot dogs, from laying down to crawling, to standing up, to almost walking. He is a very active little guy! He loves to climb stairs, and practically run around the house while holding on to his little bike. He is so much fun. I just love seeing how excited he gets over the smallest things. I love his smile. His smile can put a smile on anyone's face no matter what their mood is. Being able to be his mother is the greatest blessing to me aside from my eternal companion and the gospel. Although Landon is only 1, he has taught me so much...especially patience. He is also very sociable. He goes up to anybody and makes friends with them. I wish I was more like that. He is so good with other kids. I am so excited to see him grow through out the years, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Happy Birthday Landon! We are so glad that you are our little boy. We couldn't imagine our lives without you.

What we've been up to!

I've been so far behind in the blogging world because I have been so busy! That being said, I finally had some time to update, and I did quite a few posts! Since I have been so far behind, I thought I'd let everyone know what we've been up to! Back in January, Paul got a job for a company called Eagle Quest of Nevada. He works with troubled youth, and he (and his other co workers) takes the kids out on a 6 week wilderness program. He works every other week, so he's only home every other week, which is hard, but he loves his job, and it is just until school starts again in August. For his job, he is in charge of the repelling, and he also helps teach lessons, takes the kids hiking, and since it is in the wilderness, he's camping every other week. As for me, about a month ago I started watching 2 little girls Monday thru Friday. They are the daughters of my cheerleading coach from high school. I watch them at their house, which is hard , especially because it's 8-5 that I'm not home doing other things I need to do. This is just until the school year ends. The girls were getting sick at day care, like every week, so she asked if I would watch them. They are 2 and 3 years of age. So I basically have a 1, 2, and 3 year old from 8-5 every day. The kids all nap at the same time which is nice! I usually nap too, or I bring a craft and work on it while the kids are asleep! As for Landon, he's almost 1! I can't believe it! Time has gone by so fast! He currently has 6 teeth, and can take up to 6 steps...then he falls down! His favorite toys are cars and his Radio Flyer bike. He now eats quite a bit of solid foods. His favorites are canned carrots and all types of crackers. He loves juice and I've just started him on whole milk, since he's almost 1. He loves milk too! He loves dogs and baths! He hates to be alone and he hates his crib! He loves to play with kids and loves his parents! On Saturday, March 28, we are having Landon's 1st birthday party! I've been busy preparing for that as well! I'm hoping that he will be walking by then!

St Patrick's Day

On Saturday, March 14, we went to the St. Patrick's Day parade with my mom and brother. Landon had a good time watching all of the floats go by and eating Kettle Corn Popcorn.

After the parade, we walked around and looked at all of the rides and we got some Horchatta. We let Landon try some of ours! He sipped it and said "mmmm." I take it that he liked it! He is too cute!

Fro St Patrick's Day, we went to my mom's friend Dorthy's house. We had the traditional corn beef and cabbage for dinner. Afterwards, we came home and enjoyed my favorite show...American Idol.

Valentine's Day

Paul and I celebrated our Valentine's Day about a week before it was actually Valentine's Day because he was going to have to work. My mom watched Landon and we enjoyed a nice night out together, baby free. We went to Town Square Mall and ate dinner at Brio and afterwards, walked around the shops.

On Valentine's Day, my mom and I went and saw the movie, He's Just Not That Into You. iIt was cute. afterwards, we went to her friends house and enjoyed a mexican dinner and games.

Camping Trip

Once again I am very behind in the blogging land! One day, I'll be caught up again! The weekend of January 16, my parents, Landon, and I went camping in Pahrump, NV. Paul wasn't able to go because he had to work. :( We had a very nice weekend! We spent it...relaxing!

I am totally slacking in the blogging department! I need to upload pictures! I'm going to have a picture overload when I do update! Today I thought I'd share some fun baby things that I have purchased or would like to purchase! If you haven't heard of them before, now you have!

I really love this sippy cup from Babies R Us! It's stainless steel and is meant to keep drinks cold for up to 6 hours! When Landon starts drinking whole milk, this is the first thing on my list to purchase!

My friend Lisa introduced me to the Packin' Smart container! I just love it! It's great to store formula, cereal, crackers....just about anything! It comes with 5 containers, but you can carry as little as 1! It's great!

I just purchased some snack traps! These are great! Now Landon can't spill his cheerios all over the house! I purchased munchkin brand, a 2 pack for $7.99 at babies r us! I couldn't find them online to display a picture for you, so this is the next closest I found! This one shown is $7.95, from One Step Ahead.

Last but not least, my friend registered for this portable placemat. I thought it was so cool, I had to get one too! It is called the Kiddopatumus Portable Placemat. They can be purchased at babies r us! The fold up very small, so they fit perfectly in a purse, or a diaper bag. This is really nice because Landon likes to put his mouth on tables when we go out! Plus, it catches food as it starts to spill!

Disneyland Trip with The Shaffers

This weekend we made a quick little trip to Anaheim with our friends, Kim and Nate, and their daughter Ireland. We left late Friday morning. The traffic was horrible! A 4 hour trip took about 6.5 hours! When we arrived, we went to and outlet mall, then checked into our hotel. After checking in, we walked over to Red Robin and ate dinner.

We all pretty much went to bed after dinner. The next morning, we woke up and ate breakfast at the hotel. We then got ready and headed off to Disneyland! This is Landon playing with his Turtle (it's a bath toy, that he just loves) before we left.

We had a fun little trip. It's amazing how many of the rides you can actually take your little kids on! The kids had a fun time....even though they won't remember it, we have pictures! Thanks Kim, Nate, and Ireland for going with us! We had a fun time!

Christmas Day

Here are some pictures of us from Christmas day! We started our morning off by opening presents at our house. We then had french toast for breakfast. After breakfast, we got ready and went to my parents house to spend the rest of the day over there. We started our day over there by opening presents, and watching Jingle all the Way. Then my mom and I prepared some dinner items. We invited our friends Becca and Jerry, and their daughter Isabel to join us for dinner. We ate a delicious dinner! After dinner we played a funny game of Balderdash. At the end of our game, Paul's mom arrived into town and my brother and I performed a musical number "Mary Did You Know." My brother and I kind of started a tradition last year. He plays the piano, and we both sing a Christmas number, that we learn a few days before. I'm not the best singer, but I try. Last year we sang "Were you there on that Christmas Night?". When we were done at my parents house, we came home and opened Christmas presents from Paul's mom, and then watched Elf.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we went to our friends house for a yummy dinner. We hung out at their house for a while, then we came home and opened up our Christmas PJ's. This is a new tradition we've decided to start. After opening up our PJ's, we watched The Christmas Shoes, and went to bed. I loved that movie! It was sad, but it was also a feel good movie too.

Snowfall in Las Vegas...

On Wednesday when I opened the door to get a package that was just delivered, I saw that it was snowing! It started off snowing very lightly. I didn't think it was going to last. At 2:30, we had Achievement Days, and were planning on going caroling and bringing treats to some of the members in our ward. Of course the girls still wanted to go, so we did. They had lots of fun! At every house we stopped at they would play in the snow, and eat it, and throw snowballs at each other. The snow just made it seem so much more Christmassy...if that's even a word! Of course I forgot the camera to take pictures of them! I was so bummed! After I got home...still shocked to see it still snowing, I had to get a few pictures of Landon!

Now if only this would happen again on Christmas day! I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

Back in October I got a nice camera. Paul told me if I got it that I could only get professional pics done every now and then. I think it was worth it. Today Paul and i went to town square to take family pictures. I think we did a pretty god job! What do ya think? I just love Landon's hat and tie. He's such a cute little boy!

Sunday

Last Sunday was a bit different than the usual Sunday. Usually we go to church from 9-12. Last Sunday I threw my very close friend a baby shower. I went to church at 9 and left at 10. I came home and finished the remainder of the cleaning I needed to do. I iced the cupcakes, and at 12 my friend and her mom came. We finished setting up for the shower, and at 1pm the shower began. We ate lots of food and played lots of games! After the shower was over, we went to tithing settlement. We came home ate some dinner, then went to the cactus garden to look at Christmas lights....it was free, so we thought it would be a nice Sunday activity! Here's the pictures.

This is the banner and vinyl boards I made for the shower. To see better pictures go here. I had to use the TV to hang the banner because every other place that the banner would look good was being occupied by Christmas garland.

Monday night we bought our Christmas tree! I love the smell of a real tree! Mmm! We ended up doing our Christmas decorating when we brought the tree home.

Thanksgiving Vacation

We spent our Thanksgiving in Arizona with Paul's family. We arrived Wednesday night, and we left Sunday night. We had a great time hanging out with family. We ate good food (way too much), shopped, played uno and Parcheesi...and I'm proud to say, I beat Paul's dad every time! That's a rare occasion! Paul also went elk hunting with his dad and sister. Teeth Brushing

Last Wednesday, we decided it's time to start brushing Landon's teeth that he's starting to get. I went to Target and found him some Baby Einstein toothpaste with a matching toothbrush.

I got the toothbrush ready and started brushing....he actually liked it!
After I brushed his teeth, he wanted to play with his tooth brush...it's seriously his new favorite toy. If he's crying and you give him his toothbrush...he stops crying.

I haven't posted in a while so here are some pictures of Landon and what we've been up to!

On October 30, Landon had his first rice puffs. He loved them, he even would reach his hands in the container and grab his own.

He also got this little spider book at babies r us! He loves the books that have the little finger puppets =)

Halloween day was fun! We got up and had pumpkin pancakes, yummy! Later, we had my parents over for a tasty dinner. We had dinner in a pumpkin and some yummy squash! After dinner, we went to their house to do some trick or treating.

Utah Trip and Trunk Or Treat

We went to Utah last weekend to attend a seminar, and to visit friends....and also I saw High School Musical 3! I loved it! Anyways, here are some pics from our trip!

On the way up north, we stopped in St George to pick up some stuff for our friends. It was also the perfect time to let Landon out of the car seat and play around. He likes to stick anything and everything in his mouth, as I'm sure most babies do. Here is Landon teething on my bracelet. He loves it. He looked so cute, I just had to take a picture.

Saturday morning we went to Thanksgiving point to walk around and to also look at the decorations in their shop.

Sunday morning we woke up and went to church. Everyone there was so nice to us. We even got a lei greeting in relief society. Here is us in front of the chapel.

After church we did a bunch of free things, it was nice to have a day where we weren't spending money! Here is us at birthing stones. Apparently queens would walk here from Honolulu (about 45 minute drive away, so I can't even imagine how far they would walk) to give birth to their babies. There was one big rock that they used as a form of an epidural, to ease the pain by the way they laid on it.....I've given birth, and I honestly don't think a rock would work near as good, if at all. They must be tough women!

We also went to a botanical garden, for about 2 seconds, there wasn't much there. Afterwards we went to Dole Plantation and walked around.

After Dole we drove to the North Shore to watch the sunset and take pictures. This is a picture I snapped as the sun was setting.

After the beach we headed back to the villa and made dinner, it was kind of random things, we were just eating whatever we had around our villa.

Monday morning we headed to the Lagoon to hang out for the day, to catch some sun, and snorkel. Oh, and to play in the sand.Here's the boys working on making a sand castle.

After our day at the beach, we went into Waikiki and went to cheesecake factory for dinner.

After cheesecake factory we went to Cirque Hawaii. It was a pretty good show!

Tuesday was Adam and Lisa's 3rd anniversary. We figured that would be the perfect day to do temple sessions. We watched Zack while they went, and they watched Landon while we went. While they were in the temple, we went to the shrimp shack for lunch. I don't like shrimp, so I had a hot dog, but Paul was excited to has fresh shrimp.

After lunch we looked at the BYU Hawaii campus, then hung out at the visitors center. Here is Landon with one of the sister missionaries. She wanted a picture with him.

After the temple, we took Adam and Lisa to dinner, then we went to Outback, it sounded really good to us. here is Landon sitting on the table. He sat there the whole time. He was not happy in his car seat!

Wednesday was our last full day in Hawaii. We got a later start that day. We went to Highway Inn for lunch. It was ok....I don't think I'd recommend it.

After lunch we headed back out to the North shore and had Matsumoto's shaved ice! I highly recommend this place if ya ever make it to Hawaii. The snow cones have ice cream at the bottom. They also give you the option to put condensed milk on it, I don't recommend it, and I recommend a small size, not a large. Everyone felt sick afterwards. And get the blue plastic things, they make the snow cone much cleaner to eat.

We then went to Turtle bay.

We were just about to leave because we weren't seeing any turtles. Just before we left, this big guy came out of the water. His name is Brewtus (we were told by a guy who works with the turtles), he's about 35 and weighs between 175 and 200 lbs!

After turtle bay we headed to Germaine's Luau.

Thursday morning we stopped at Pearl Harbor on our way out. I wish we had more time there because it is an important part in history, and there was lots to see. We saw one exhibit and that was all.

After Pearl Harbor we went to the airport, got lunch, and boarded the plane. Here's me reading Landon's new book to him. He kept trying to eat it.

Our flight back went very well. Landon slept some, and played some. We are so gratefukl that he's a good traveler and baby! We had a very nice and enjoyable vacation, but it's good to be home!
